The BJP today accused the Congress of vitiating the atmosphere in Solan town where three agitations, including the forcible closure of shops last week, took place in the last two weeks.

Addressing mediapersons, chairman of Bhaghat Urban Cooperative Bank Pawan Gupta alleged that local MLA DR Shandil was aligning with those who had triggered protests in public.

Gupta alleged that Shandil shied away from acting like a public representative when agitations were taking place. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
