State BJP president Rajeev Bindal today said that the Congress was maintaining double standards as it raised doubts about the authenticity of the election results only when it was defeated not when it wins.

Bindal, in a statement issued here, said, “The Congress had no problem with the Election Commission of India (EC) when it won the 2022 Assembly elections. It points a finger at the EC only when it loses elections, not when it wins.”

Bindal said that the Congress was now trying to find excuses for its impending defeat in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He added that the Congress came to power in Himachal by giving false guarantees to people.

On Rahul Gandhi’s allegations against the EC, Bindal said that all Congress leaders suffered from the same mania. “Congress leaders are in the habit of abusing the EC and the BJP, as they are bad losers. Now, state Congress president Pratibha Singh has said that the party lost the Lok Sabha elections due to irregularities in the electoral rolls, which is laughable,” he added.

Bindal said the Congress had been completely exposed as it had neither given Rs 1,500 monthly financial assistance to 23 lakh women and one lakh jobs to the youth, nor 300 units of free power.
