The Congress has cancelled its ‘Save the Constitution’ rally in Shimla on April 26 in view of the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam. “In view of the brutal killing of tourists in Pahalgam and the latest developments in the country, the Congress has decided to postpone the state-level ‘Save Constitution’ rally for the time being,” said state Congress president Pratibha Singh.

She said that there was a lot of anger in the country over the terrorist attack and the Congress was standing firmly with the country and people in this hour of grief.

Meanwhile, the state Congress decided to take out a candlelight march in Shimla tomorrow for the victims of the Pahalgam attack. AICC in-charge for Himachal Rajni Patil, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Pratibha Singh, ministers and MLAs would take part in the march.
