Kanwar said the board through these government sponsored schemes was providing financial assistance to eligible registered workers for marriage, medical treatment, education, pension, funeral and disabled assistance. “Apart from this, the board is rendering financial assistance to dependents after demise of the beneficiary, special financial assistance on birth of a baby, house construction and care of mentally challenged children of the beneficiaries,” he said. On the occasion, Kanwar instructed officers and employees of the board to ensure dissemination of these welfare schemes up to the gram panchayat level so that maximum number of eligible workers could avail benefits. Special guest, Mahajan said building and construction workers must get themselves registered with the board and avail benefits of the government sponsored schemes.
