Construction workers’ welfare board to hold awareness camps across Chamba

The Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board is set to organise awareness camps across various blocks of Chamba district — including Salooni, Chamba and Bhattiyat — to inform workers about various welfare schemes.

District Labour Welfare Officer Shweta Kumari said under the aegis of the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, an awareness camp would be held on September 4 at Salooni for the workers of Salooni, Singadhar and Dighai gram panchayats.

The series of camps is being organised with an aim to provide comprehensive information about the welfare schemes run by the board, she added.

On September 5, a camp would be held at the Kakira-Jarei gram panchayat for the workers of Kakira-Jarei, Kakira-Kasba, Chalama, Ghatasni and Taragarh.

In Chamba, an awareness camp would be conducted on September 7 at Rajnagar for the workers of Rajnagar and Rupni. On the same day, another camp would be held at Chaklu for the workers of Chaklu and Chandi.

On September 17, an awareness camp would be organised at Sundla for the workers of Sundla, Manjeer and Vyana.

The last camp in the series is scheduled for September 20 at Nainikhad for the workers of Nainikhad, Tunuhetti, Mel, Jiunta and Baily.
