A special highlight of the day was a play on the life of Mother Foundress which was beautifully enacted by kindergarten children. Through their simple yet powerful performance, the little ones brought alive the values of faith, compassion, and service that guided the life of the Mother Foundress.
The cultural programme further sparkled with a series of colourful dances — a retro dance, a modern dance, and the traditional Himachali Nati — by the tiny tots which enthralled the audience.
Suraj Prakash Ranta, Retired Assistant Commander, who was awarded the President’s Award for Meritorious Service by the President of India on Republic Day, January 26, 2013, was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme kicked off with the introduction of the chief guest and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the dispelling of darkness and ushering in of knowledge. This was followed by a soulful prayer dance and a lively welcome song presented by kindergarten students.
Principal Sr Greta addressed the gathering with her motivational words. A PowerPoint Presentation highlighted the institution’s progress and commitment to holistic education. In his address, Ranta commended the school for nurturing young talent with a fine blend of values and creativity. He emphasised on the importance of cultural heritage, discipline, and family values, especially underscoring the irreplaceable role of grandparents in a child’s life.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and rendition of the school anthem, leaving behind an atmosphere of pride, unity, and appreciation for the guiding lights of every family — the grandparents.
