The District Kangra Athletics Association recently held a cross-country competition at the synthetic track in Dharamsala to select its team, which shall represent the district in the state meet, to be held at Una on December 15.

Association president Vikram Chaudhary gave tips to the participants at the championship. In the 10 km (mens’) category, Abhishek Kumar clinched the first position while Chirag Sharma and Sajan Chaudhary stood second and third, respectively.

In the 8 km (under-20 boys’) race, the top three positions were bagged by Dhruv, Vikram and Parav.

Nancy Chaudhary stood first while the second and third positions were held by Mehak Gautam and Priya Sharma in the 6 km (under-20 girls’) race. In the 6 km (under-18 boys’) race, Vivek stood, followed by Deepanshu and Arjun Singh in the second and third positions, respectively.

In the 2 km (under-16 boys’) race, Amit stood first, while Sujal and Kartik stood second and third, respectively. In the 2 km (under-16 girls’) race, Aarushi raced to the first position, while Kavya stood second and Deepali third.
