Kinnaur Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Sharma recently presided over a meeting on corporate social responsibility (CSR) held at the auditorium of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

He instructed officials to achieve set targets within the stipulated timeframe.

Sharma said company representatives operating in the district under CSR must ensure the timely completion of assigned goals, so that the benefits were effectively delivered to the residents.

CSR encompasses environmental, ethical, philanthropic and financial responsibilities, he added, stating that all of these were the companies’ obligations to fulfill.

Kalpa Sub Divisional Magistrate Major Shashank Gupta, Assistant Commissioner to Deputy Commissioner OP Yadav, other officials and staff members were among those present at the meeting.
