CSSR competition: State disaster response force tops in North Zone

The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Response Force (HP-SDRF) has secured first place in the Regional Level (North Zone) Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) competition, held at the 8th Battalion, NDRF campus in Ghaziabad from March 17 to March 18.

SDRF SP Arjit Sen told The Tribune that HP-SDRF outperformed seven SDRF teams from across North India, demonstrating exceptional skill, coordination, and disaster response expertise. Uttarakhand SDRF claimed second place, while Delhi SDRF finished third.

The HP-SDRF team, led by Inspector Bhag Singh, included Head Constables Babli Kumar and Balvinder Thakur and Constables Raman Kumar, Vishal Rana, Rajneesh Kumar, Arvind Kumar, Deepak, Guru Dutt, Naveen Kumar, Chabbil Negi, Himanshu Chaudhary, Gursimran Singh, Aman Daroch, and Akshay Kumar.

With this victory, HP-SDRF has qualified for the national-level CSSR competition, which will take place from April 1 to April 5.
