The second day of the three-day state-level Shri Vaman Dwadashi fair at Sarahan, the sub-divisional headquarters of Pachhad in Sirmaur district, witnessed a blend of religious devotion, cultural displays and spirited sporting events.

Sirmaur SP Nishchint Singh Negi graced the occasion as the chief guest. He inspected the fair ground and later paid obeisance at the temple of Lord Vaman. Following this, he visited the exhibitions put up by the various departments, including Agriculture, Industries, Animal Husbandry, Health, Food and Civil Supplies, Solar Energy, Women and Child Development, Ayush, along with self-help groups. The stalls showcased government schemes, innovations and welfare initiatives for the benefit of visitors.

The day’s proceedings were further enlivened by kabaddi, volleyball and chess tournaments, besides Bollywood-themed sports contests. The wrestling stadium drew large crowds with traditional bouts keeping spectators engaged till late evening.
