Grandeur and enthusiasm marked the two-day annual day function of Rainbow International School, Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra district. The themes of the programme was “Canvas of Creativity” and “Wings of Excellence,” symbolising imagination, innovation, growth and achievement. Students presented cultural performances to showcase their talent, confidence and dedication.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. JR Kashyap, Director of the Rainbow Group of Schools, and Chhavi Kashyap, principal of Rainbow International School, extended a warm welcome to the guests, parents and students.Chhavi Kashyap presented the annual report of the school, showcasing its accomplishments in academics, sports and cultural pursuits. He emphasised the institution’s unwavering commitment to innovative and holistic education.

Dr Pradeep Makkar, Managing Director, City Hospital, Kangra, and Rana Hospital, Palampur, was the chief guest on the first day. He praised the school for providing a nurturing environment that promoted holistic personality development among students.

Raghubir Singh Bali, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), was the chief guest of the second-day function. Bali, who is also Nagrota Bagwan MLA, commended the school’s progressive vision and its role in promoting innovation, discipline and moral values. He appreciated the integration of modern pedagogical practices and technology, which prepare students to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving world.

Munish Kumar, SDM, Nagrota Bagwan; Dr Vivek Sood Chief Medical Officer, Kangra at Dharamsala; Pankaj Chadha, Divisional Manager, HRTC; Asha, Enforcement Officer, Nagrota block; and Nikhil Sharma, principal, Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Nagrota Bagwan; were also present on the occasion.

Cultural performances captivated the audience with their artistic brilliance and emotional depth. Students mesmerised the audience with graceful dances, thought-provoking skits and melodious musical presentations — each reflecting the themes of creativity and excellence.
