“The devotion with which people visit this holy site is truly inspiring. May Lord Parshuram continue to bless this unwavering faith,” he said.
He lauded the efforts of the district administration and the Shree Renuka Ji Development Board for introducing this practice and urged the local ashram residents to continue performing the ‘aarti’ with sincerity. The Governor also called upon residents to protect their cultural legacy, while acknowledging the immense contribution of the people of Sirmaur in serving the nation’s defence forces. “This fair, a sacred confluence of faith and devotion, holds a cherished place in the hearts of people across India,” he remarked.
Emphasising the need to preserve both the natural beauty and sanctity of Renuka Ji, the Governor urged for collective responsibility from the community and the administration. He appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs and dedicate themselves to building a healthy and progressive society. “Let us pledge to make our villages safe, strong and free from the menace of drugs,” he said.
Calling culture the “foundation of India’s identity”, he underlined that true prosperity lies in preserving moral and spiritual values amid modern progress.
