Chamba Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal chaired a meeting to review the preparedness for the event that was crucial for boosting winter tourism in Dalhousie.
Repaswal directed the Dalhousie SDM to ensure all necessary arrangements at the Subhash Chowk and the Gandhi Chowk, where the main events would take place. A daily heritage walk be organised every morning with the support of the Hotel Association, enabling tourists and locals to explore the town’s historical and cultural significance, he said.
Cultural programmes would be organised every evening from December 25 to 30 for 2 to 3 hours, while the grand finale on December 31 would feature cultural performances up to midnight. Repaswal said that additional attractive activities be included to make the festival more vibrant and engaging for tourists. Stalls set up by various departments must operate regularly throughout the week.
