Patients facing inconvenience

The ongoing pen-down strike by doctors in the government hospitals has become an ordeal for the patients, who are forced to wait for long durations to get themselves checked. The long wait to see a doctor makes the patients, who are already suffering due to one health issue or the other, suffer greatly. The government should take stock of the issue as soon as possible as not every individual can pay fees at private hospitals.

No doctors at PHC Himri

Not even a single doctor is presently appointed at the Primary Health Centre in Himri panchayat of the Kotkhai region. The post is vacant for almost two years now. Due to this, the locals are forced to travel 20-25 km away from home to seek medical treatment at other PHCs. The authorities concerned should fill the post as soon as possible so the locals don’t face any more harassment.

Naresh, Kotkhai
