The campus of DAV Centenary Public School, Mandi, was alive with energy and enthusiasm as it celebrated its annual sports day meet for the EEDP section today. The event, held on the school grounds, witnessed a remarkable turnout of students, staff and parents.

The programme kicked off with an impressive march past by the students, showcasing their discipline and unity. The atmosphere was further elevated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by an inspiring speech from chief guest KS Guleria, the ARO HP Zone C. Guleria spoke passionately about the importance of sports in shaping young minds, emphasising values such as teamwork, discipline and perseverance. His words resonated deeply with the students and staff, motivating everyone to participate wholeheartedly in the day’s events.

Seema Kapoor, the supervisory head of the school, extended a warm welcome to the guests and expressed her admiration for the spirit of competition and fair play displayed by the students.

The day was filled with various athletic events, where students showcased their exceptional skills and determination. After a series of exciting competitions, the winners were felicitated during the closing ceremony. The winners were awarded medals for their outstanding performances. Guleria congratulated all the participants for their hard work, dedication and spirit of sportsmanship.

The prize distribution ceremony recognised the top performers from each category, with students from different teams earning accolades for their efforts. The event concluded on a harmonious note with the Shanti Path, symbolising peace and unity.
