DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Ambota, came alive with energy and celebration as it hosted the grand closing ceremony of the DAV cluster level kabaddi, skipping rope and chess tournament on July 10. The two-day sporting event brought together students from various DAV institutions across the region, creating a platform not only for competition but also for unity, sportsmanship and cultural exchange.

Principal Namit Sharma addressed the gathering. He praised the participating athletes for their determination and competitive spirit, reminding them that true sportsmanship lies in striving for excellence both on and off the field. He extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the schools, coaches, staff members and dignitaries who contributed to the successful execution of the tournament.

As the tournament drew to a close, the highlight of the day unfolded with the prize distribution ceremony. Winners of the kabaddi, skipping rope and chess competitions were felicitated.

In the kabaddi events, DAV Surangani emerged as the champion in the under-14 boys and under-17 girls categories, while DAV Chamba dominated the under-17 boys category and secured runner-up positions in multiple segments. DAV Lathiani clinched the top spot in the under-19 boys category, adding to the intense and thrilling contests that unfolded over the two days.
