DC assures action on demands of Luhri project hit

The DC said as per the demands of the affected people, the committees, which are yet to be formed, will be notified by Additional District Magistrate Pankaj Sharma (Law and Order) within two days. It includes the committee that will assess the damage to crops. “Only after the formation of this committee, the affected people will be able to get compensation for the damage to crops,” he said.
The DC said Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Pankaj Sharma would inspect the affected areas by the Luhri Hydroelectric Project. Along with this, the ADM will also listen to the problems of the affected people on the spot and take further steps.
The DC said the designated dumping sites would also be inspected. “If illegal dumping is found other than the designated dumping sites, strict action will be taken against the culprits,” he said. Former MLA Rakesh Singha was also present at the meeting.
