Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal felicitated the Chamba Veteran Cricket Team (Senior Citizen) on Wednesday for clinching the Himachal Pradesh Veteran Cricket Tournament, recently held in Hamirpur. At a brief ceremony, the DC congratulated the team members for their spirited performance and lauded them for bringing laurels to the district.

Veteran Cricket Association president and team captain Major (retd) SC Nayyar said the Chamba team had defeated the Veteran Team of Hamirpur by nine wickets in the final match, played at the famous Chowgan of Sujanpur Tira on November 9. Hamirpur team scored 125 runs, with Dinesh scoring 45 runs. For Chamba, Ramesh bowled brilliantly, picking up four wickets, while Monu claimed two.
