Additional Director General Telecom (LSA Himachal) Anil Kumar Gupta was present as a special attendee. Detailed discussions were held on the telecom network affected by the recent monsoon-related natural disasters, the current challenges and the technical and administrative measures required to ensure uninterrupted telecom services in the future.
Repaswal assured all telecom service providers of full support and coordination from the district administration to services in the region. He directed the SDMs to identify villages that remain uncovered in the telecom connectivity surveys and submit their lists so that services could be extended to them.
Gupta said that during disasters, communication systems form the backbone of relief and rescue operations.
