DC visits disaster-hit areas in Kuther region

He inspected the villages of Kuther, Bathri, Proho and other affected locations, and interacted with the disaster-hit families to listen to their concerns.
The DC assured the affected families of all possible assistance from the administration. He directed the Chamba SDM and the Block Development Officer, Mehla, to conduct an immediate survey of the affected households and present a detailed assessment of the actual damage. He also instructed concerned departmental officials to take prompt steps for the resolution of issues. Repaswal urged local residents to extend their cooperation to the administration in ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.
During his visit to Kuther village, the DC met BPL families and reviewed their living conditions as well as the progress of houses under construction under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He directed the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Chamba, to ensure the supply of essential relief material to all poor families of Kuther village through the District Red Cross Society. He also encouraged villagers to remain aware and committed to the education of their children.
Repaswal has been personally visiting various disaster-affected regions across the district to monitor relief and rehabilitation works. He has already conducted on-site reviews in the sub-divisions of Salooni, Tissa, Bhattiyat, Chamba and Bharmour.
