Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 33 development projects worth Rs 784 crore in the Dehra and Nagrota Bagwan Assembly constituencies in Kangra district.

He laid the foundation stones of a geological park to be constructed at a cost of Rs 350 crore at Banakhandi in Dehra. He inaugurated two roads built at a cost of Rs 6.02 crore in Dehra.

Sukhu inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 30 development projects worth Rs 427 crore in the Nagrota Bagwan and Palampur Assembly constituencies at a function organised at the Gandhi Maidan.

He inaugurated a library and a computer centre built at a cost of Rs 6.50 crore at Rajiv Gandhi Government Engineering College, Nagrota Bagwan, a hostel for 100 students built for Rs 3.80 crore in Government Pharmacy College and the 200-bed GS Bali Mother and Child Hospital in Tanda medical college built at a cost of Rs 41.47 crore.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the 33 KV substation built at Rajiv Gandhi Government Engineering College at a cost of Rs 6.80 crore, electricity board’s Junior Engineer office-cum-complaint cell built at a cost of Rs 22.56 lakh, source-level augmentation lift water supply scheme for Ghina-Morath-Jasai and Balugloa built at a cost of Rs 2.67 crore and projects of Rs 6.44 crore of functional household tap connections for many village groups of the Baroh area.

He also inaugurated a bridge at Jassor village on the Banner Khad built for Rs 3.50 crore, science laboratory built at a cost of Rs 1.10 crore in Government Senior Secondary School, Balugloa; additional building built at a cost of Rs 1.54 crore in Government Senior Secondary School, Nagrota Bagwan, and a facility block-cum-canteen built at a cost of Rs 2.95 crore in Tanda medical college.

He laid foundation stone of the Rs 130 crore wellness convention centre and wedding destination and international fountain project for Nagrota Bagwan. Of this, Rs 90 crore would be spent on the wellness convention centre and wedding destination and Rs 40 crore on the construction of the international fountain.

Sulhu also laid the foundation stone of a Rajiv Gandhi Model Day Boarding School to be built at a cost of Rs 5 crore at Ranhu in Nagrota Bagwan.
