He added that people across Himachal and adjoining regions held unwavering faith in Mahasu Dev traditions, and being blessed by Chalda Mahasu Maharaj was an honour for the state.

The minister announced that the deity would enter Himachal Pradesh on the evening of December 13 through Meenas, followed by an overnight halt at Drabil.

On December 14, the sacred procession will move towards Pashmi, where large-scale preparations are underway for the grand welcome.

Chauhan said multiple committees had been formed to ensure the smooth organisation of the event. He said various government departments and local communities were working in close coordination to make the arrival ceremony majestic as well as well-managed.

Talking about security arrangements, he said over 100 police personnel and home guards had been deployed to maintain law and order.

A health camp would be set up for medical support, and strict instructions had been issued for efficient traffic management throughout the route of the procession, he added.

Chauhan urged devotees to welcome Chalda Mahasu Maharaj with humility, peace, affection and unwavering faith. Thousands of devotees from various villages of Shillai region accompanied the minister during the visit, reflecting the scale of devotion surrounding this once-in-a-generation spiritual event.

The sacred dev-chinnah goat of Chalda Mahasu Maharaj had recently reached Himachal from Uttarakhand. According to tradition, the holy goat travels independently during the annual dev-yatra, choosing its path without human guidance and arriving at places destined for the deity’s onward spiritual journey.
