Democracy has won in Maharashtra on Constitution Day, said Himachal Pradesh Congress incharge Rajani Patil in a statement issued here today.

“The BJP-ruled Centre used all fair and unfair means to grab power but could not defeat democracy in India, which is an encouraging development for any democracy in the world,” she said. She said every person should respect the Constitution but it was unfortunate that the BJP was bent on grabbing power by hook or crook.

“Judiciary has once again retreated faith among public about its impartiality. Now, it is time to end politics of opportunism, which is mostly done in the darkness of night,” she said. — TNS
