Deodar wood seized, 3 held

The Masroond Forest Ranger and the Rapid Response Team from Chamba intercepted a vehicle smuggling deodar wood along the Chamba-Bairagarh road. The operation took place at Koti on Monday. The team stopped a pickup truck covered with a green netted tarpaulin for routine inspection. The officials discovered 24 unprocessed deodar sleepers. The timber, valued at Rs 1,49,800, was being transported without valid permits or documentation.
