As many as Rs 47.35 lakh were offered at Baba Balak Nath Temple by devotees during the ongoing Chaitra Mela at Deotsidh in the district so far. Barsar SDM Rajendra Gautam, who is also the chairman of Baba Balak Nath Temple Trust, stated this in a media release here today.

He said over 20,000 devotees are visiting Baba Balak Nath Temple every day since this festival has started.

He said apart from cash donations, devotees had also offered about 13.090 gm of gold, 28.970 gm of silver, along with foreign currency, at the temple. Notably, the temple trust use these donations to develop infrastructure for providing facilities to the devotees. It also operates educational institutions including a school, degree college and Sanskrit college, along with a hospital. The trust also donates funds to the Chief Minister relief fund from time to time.
