In view of the upcoming monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Tewari has directed officials to take all necessary precautions to ensure safety and security of the MLAs, dignitaries and the general public.
The DGP, along with several other senior police officials, conducted a thorough review of security arrangements on the Vidhan Sabha premises. The visit aimed to ensure that all necessary security measures were in place for the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha session.
During the visit, the team inspected the premises, assessed security protocols and interacted with key personnel to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement effective strategies to mitigate risks.
“The Police Department is working in close coordination with other security agencies to ensure that the Vidhan Sabha session is conducted without any disruptions,” the DGP said. The monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha is set to commence from August 18 and will continue till September 2. The session will have 12 sittings with August 21 and 28, being fixed as the non-official working days.
