DGP Sanjay Kundu visited Beeji’s Park on the premises of Dalhousie Public School here on the occasion of Himachal Day on Friday. He laid a wreath at the Amar Jawan memorial in the park.

Beeji’s Park is one of the most visited and photographed tourist destinations in Dalhousie. This park has the distinction of having on its grounds an MIG-21 fighter aircraft, two surface-to-air Pichora missiles, a Russian-origin T-55 Battle Tank and a huge model of the latest Shivalik class of stealth frigate. These were presented to Dalhousie Public School by the Eastern Naval Command.

The Chief of Naval Staff, while inaugurating Beeji’s Park on the occasion of the 40th founder’s day of the school, had lauded the efforts of the chairman and director of Dalhousie Public School Dr (Capt) GS Dhillon in “creating a unique spot that is a source of inspiration and motivation for students to join the Indian Armed Forces”. Capt Dhillon served 2 PARA (Special Forces).
