Dharamsala college wins HPU table tennis championship

Government Degree College, Dharamsala, bagged the gold in the table tennis championship for men, organised under the aegis of Himachal Pradesh University, which concluded at Government College, Jukhala, in Bilaspur district on Thursday.

Dharamsala college defeated Sanjauli college in the final match. The bronze medal was won by Government College, Chaura Maidan (Shimla), who defeated Government College, Sarkaghat.

GC Darlaghat Principal Dr Ruchi Ramesh Principal honoured the winners at the valedictory function.

Speaking on the occasion, she said students should learn life skills by taking part in sports. Jukhala college Principal Dr Dhruv Pal Singh said this was first ever championship hosted by the college.

He added that he was thankful to HPU, and the college staff for the successful conduct of the championship.
