The Himachal Pradesh University Inter-College Women’s Volleyball Tournament concluded with sportsmanship and competitive spirit at Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Government College, Palampur, on Saturday.

In the final, Government College, Dharamsala, defeated Government College, Sanjauli, 3-0 to lift the trophy. Government College, Rampur, secured the third position.

Gopal Nag, Mayor of the Palampur Municipal Corporation, congratulated all participating teams for their dedication, discipline and enthusiasm. He emphasised the importance of sports in shaping the life of youths, building confidence and promoting a healthy lifestyle. He appreciated the college for successfully hosting a well-organised tournament and encouraged students to continue excelling in academics and sports alike.

Principal Pankaj Sood expressed pride in hosting this prestigious HPU event. He highlighted the commitment of the college to promote women’s sports and providing a platform to young athletes to showcase their talent. He congratulated the winning teams and appreciated the tireless efforts of faculty members, student volunteers and the organising committee.
