Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani today accused the BJP of distorting the efforts that the government was making for strengthening the economy of the state. Stating that by closing improper channels over the last year, the state government has generated an additional revenue of Rs 2,200 crore, which was now being used to support schemes for the needy.

The minister alleged that BJP leaders were damaging the image of the state by spreading misinformation nationwide and advised them to apologise to the people. “The Congress government has already fulfilled five election promises and is on track to complete the rest in contrast to BJP’s history of unkept promises,” he said.

Dharmani also criticised the actions of the BJP leaders during last year’s disaster.
