Digitisation of mandis restarted, tenders to be floated soon

The process to digitise Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) mandis in the state has restarted. The tender for the work will be shortly floated by the Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (HPSEDC) for Himachal Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board (HPSAMB).

The selected company will have to design, develop, implement and maintain web portal and mobile application for the integrated management system of the HPSAMB. The digitisation of mandis is likely to enhance transparency and efficiency in the operations of the HPSAMB, its field offices and all market committees.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
