Disaster management authority online quiz on October 13

To mark the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, observed globally on October 13, Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority is set to organise an online quiz for students.

The contest aims to raise awareness and educate students and communities about natural and human induced disasters; promote understanding of disaster risk reduction strategies; and encourage proactive attitudes towards community safety and resilience.

This year’s theme for the day is “Fund Resilience, Not Disasters”.

It emphasises a shift from reactive responses to proactive investments in disaster risk reduction, calling for increased funding for resilience-building measures and risk-informed investments from both public and private sectors.

The disaster management authority has appealed eligible residents to ensure their participation in the competition through scanning a QR Code or by visiting https://listwr.com/jvZ9YL.

Selected candidates will receive their certificates on their registered e-mail ids.
