District-level ‘Kala Utsav’ celebrated at Dharamsala

Eighty-six participants took part in 12 diverse events during a district-level Kala Utsav at DIET Kangra. Students from four educational zones of the district presented impressive solo and group performances in folk music, dance and painting. Winners will advance to the state-level competition.

In vocal music (solo) the first prize was bagged by Shivam, while Vishal and Mridul stood second and third, respectively; in Group performance GHS Sidhbari stood first followed by GSSS Rajpura and GSSS Dadasiba.

In instrumental music solo, Arun Dogra, Varun and Aryan stood bagged the top three positions; while in Instrumental Music (Group) GSSS Khaniyara stood first followed by GSSS Dadh.

In theatre/drama competition, first prize was awarded to BTC GSSS Nurpur, while GSSS Durgella and GSSS Rajpura stood second and third, respectively. In classical dance (solo), Shanvi bagged the first position followed by Kunjal and Shreya.
