The demand for buses from Delhi and Chandigarh rises significantly ahead of the festival, and the corporation will operate over 250 special buses from Delhi, Chandigarh and Baddi to different districts of the state on October 17, 18 and 19.
As per the information, 97 special buses will operate on October 17 — 34 from Delhi, 55 from Chandigarh and 18 from Baddi. On October 18, a total of 106 special buses will operate from Delhi (44), Chandigarh (54), and Baddi (8). On October 19, six special buses are scheduled to operate from Delhi and 48 from Chandigarh. No buses will operate from Baddi on this day.
Meanwhile, local bus services will be suspended on Diwali day from 5 pm to 8 am next day.
