Dr Jahid Ali on Saturday assumed the role of Vice Chancellor at Sri Sai University, Palampur. The ceremony was attended by Chancellor SK Punj and Pro Chancellor Kanwar Tushar Punj, marking a significant milestone in the university’s journey towards growth.

Dr Ali, an accomplished academician, holds a PhD in Computer Science from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi and a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from MKU University. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.

Dr Ali’s career in academia began in 2001 as an Assistant Professor at Sri Sai Iqbal College of Management and Technology in Badhani, Pathankot. He advanced through the ranks, becoming Professor and Principal of the institution in 2012.

In 2018, Dr Ali joined Sri Sai University, Palampur, as Dean of the Computer and Management faculties and Controller of Examinations, where he took on numerous key responsibilities with dedication.

His leadership and academic contributions have been regarded within the university. With Dr Ali now at the helm, Sri Sai University is set to continue its pursuit of academic excellence, research and innovation. The university fraternity has expressed confidence that under his leadership, it would achieve greater milestones in the years to come.
