Dry weather conditions to continue across Himachal

Himachal Pradesh, currently witnessing a prolonged dry spell, is unlikely to have any respite as these weather conditions are expected to prevail across the state till December 15 with the exception of December 14, when higher hills of the state will be witnessing light snowfall and rain. The state, during the first nine days of December, has witnessed a 100 per cent rain deficit.

As per the State’s Meteorological Department, dry weather will continue to prevail across the state till December 15 and no large changes will be witnessed in minimum and maximum temperatures during the next 3 to 4 days.

The weather across the state was dry during the last 24 hours, with minimum temperatures mostly being normal in most parts of the state.

Shimla recorded 9°C minimum temperature while Dharamsala witnessed 8.6°C. Minimum temperature in Manali was 2.7°C, Kangra 5.5°C, Mandi 4.3°C, Solan 3.8°C, Bilaspur 4.8°C, Hamirpur 3.8°C, Kalpa 0°C, Sundernagar 3.1°C, Bhuntar 2.6°C, Nahan and Paonta Sahib 10°C each, Kufri 5.6°C, Narkanda 3°C, Reckong Peo 2.5°C and Tabo minus 4.4°C.

With 25.6°C maximum temperature, Una was the hottest place in the state while Kukumseri village in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest as it recorded minus 6.1°C minimum temperature.
