Pranav Tomar, a hardworking student from Nahan, has made the Sirmaur district proud by securing All India Rank (AIR) 1,796 in JEE (Advanced) 2025. Among over 12.5 lakh students who appeared for JEE (Mains), only 54,378 cleared JEE (Advanced), placing Pranav in the top percentile.

He attributed his success to early preparation, support from his parents and the expert guidance of teachers. A student of the Foundation Batch from Classes IX and X, Pranav emphasised the value of beginning focused studies early.

Pranav’s achievement reflects his dedication and strong academic discipline. He expressed deep gratitude to his teachers and family for their constant encouragement. Career Academy of Nahan, where he studied, congratulated Pranav and wished him continued success in his academic journey.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
