Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla presented commendation certificates and scholarships to meritorious students from various schools at the scholarship distribution programme organised by Shri Ram Seva Sankalp Foundation (Himachal Pradesh) at the Gaiety Theatre on Thursday.

Congratulating the students, the Governor said the foundation’s initiative would not only boost the morale of students but also encourage them to achieve greater heights in academics.

Education was the cornerstone of progress which opened up endless possibilities and shaped the future of individuals and nations,

he added.

Shukla said the foundation, which started in 2015, had so far provided more than 10,000 scholarships. At the event, 3,000 scholarships had been given to students from the state, Punjab and Jammu Kashmir,

he noted.

“These scholarships will not only ease the financial burden of many deserving students, but will also serve as a source of motivation. Each one of you who receives this scholarship is being entrusted with the opportunity to excel in your studies and to contribute meaningfully to society,” he said, addressing the awarded students.

“This is not just financial support, but also recognition of your potential, hard work, and dedication to pursuing your dreams,”

he added.

Earlier, Shri Ram Seva Sankalp Foundation joint managing director Nilesh Odedara welcomed the Governor and talked about the welfare initiatives undertaken by the foundation.
