The District Office of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) organised a special seminar in Palampur on Friday, focusing on the Employment Incentive Scheme, now renamed as the PM Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana. This scheme aims to encourage new employment in the organised sector by providing financial assistance to both employers and employees.

The event witnessed active participation from several prominent industrial units across the Palampur region, including KLB DAV College, Wah Tea Estate, Dharamsala Tea Company, Himalayan Enterprise, Norwood Holidays Pvt Ltd, hotel The Bliss, Khalet Tea Estate and other establishments.

Vijay Kumar, Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner and Officer-in-Charge of the EPFO District Office, highlighted the features of the scheme. He explained that it is aimed primarily at first-time employees entering formal employment, offering wage support of up to Rs 15,000 per month.
