To provide information about schemes funded by the Central Government in the power sector, the Ujjwal Bharat Ujjawal Bhavishya programme has been kicked off by Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) in collaboration with districts administration and the SJVNL. On the first day of the programme, events were organised in Bilaspur, Kullu, Solan, Mandi, Paonta Sahib of Sirmaur and Chalola of Una.

Along with dignitaries, the beneficiaries of the centrally-funded schemes like the Saubhagya and the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana participated in the programme. The beneficiaries of the Mukhya Mantri Roshni Yojana and Free Electricity Scheme also participated in the function.
