Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur today congratulated the BJP’s top leadership and workers for the landslide victory in Maharashtra. “The people of Maharashtra have shown their trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and have handed over the keys of power to the Mahayuti alliance. I congratulate the top leadership of the party and all workers on this historic victory,” he said. The people of Maharashtra and Jharkhand had rejected the Congress, he added.

He said, “The public has expressed faith in the guarantees given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The public now wants to move ahead with development. They have rejected the politics of casteism and regionalism and the false guarantees given by the Congress just as they did in Haryana a couple of months ago.”
