An expectant mother was today airlifted from Kaza in Lahaul and Spiti district to the Kamla Nehru Hospital in Shimla.

According to official sources, 29-year-old Tenzin Khachit, a native of Pangmo village in Lahaul and Spiti, is eight months pregnant and is facing various health complications. On April 13, she was brought to the Kaza hospital but there was no improvement in her health.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
