A total of 25 candidates will be selected for the 14-day training, which will be conducted at the Atal Bihari Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports Sub-Centre in Bharmour. Applicants must be between 18 and 45 years of age. The minimum educational qualification required is Class X; however, those with relevant experience may apply with Class VIII as the minimum qualification.
Candidates must be permanent residents of Chamba district, possess Himachali domicile status, maintain good conduct and be physically fit. Priority will be given to youths engaged in tourism-related activities who have not yet received formal training, said Mishra.
Interested candidates can submit the prescribed application form to the District Tourism Development Office, Bachat Bhawan, Chamba, by October 10, 2025. Forms are available at the office or can be downloaded from hpchamba.nic.in.
After a screening process, the committee will finalise a batch of 25 trainees. Selected candidates will need to deposit a training fee of Rs 1,500 via bank draft or postal order in favour of the District Tourism Development Officer, Chamba, he said.
Applications must be accompanied by two passport-size photographs, educational and age certificates, Aadhaar card/voter ID/ration card or other proof of residence, Himachali bonafide certificate, experience certificate (if applicable) and caste/BPL certificates (if applicable).
