A 19-year-old worker was found hanging in a factory in the industrial area of Sansarpur Terrace in Kangra district, the police officials confirmed here today.

The incident occurred at Ankit Roller Flour Mill, where the deceased, identified as Ramhit Saday, son of Boku Saday, a resident of Nazirpur, Madhubani (Bihar), was found hanging from a cloth noose on the factory’s second floor.

The factory manager Vicky Sharma informed Sansarpur Terrace police about the incident. The Station House Officer Sanjay Sharma and his team reached the spot and conducted initial inspection. A forensic team was called on the spot to collect evidence. DSP of Dadasiba Raj Kumar said that witness statements have been recorded and preliminary investigation suggests a case of suicide.

The body was sent to Dehra Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police had initiated inquest proceedings in the incident.
