Farm laws against farmers: CITU
Our Correspondent
Hamirpur, September 27
The three farm laws enacted by the Central Government are against farmers and must be withdrawn, said Kashmir Singh Thakur, national secretary of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), here today.
He said that the Central Government had started a move to sell government properties while the economy of the country was on the decline. He added that CITU would continue its protests against the policies of the Central Government.
Thakur said, “CITU appreciates the initiative taken by the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha to involve trade unions, organisations of agricultural workers, students, youths, women etc. whose lives, livelihoods and basic rights are at the risk of being compromised”.
He added that CITU had adopted resolutions on various issues, including opposing the labour codes and privatisation.

run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any
bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and
partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense
of the term.
The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
