Dharamsala, October 14

HPCC president Kuldeep Rathore today alleged that the BJP was trying to divert the attention of people from price rise, unemployment and lack of development by invoking regionalism.

While addressing mediapersons here, Rathore alleged that in Mandi, the Chief Minister was seeking votes on the plea that he belongs to the district. If the CM belongs to Mandi what should other areas as Kangra or Shimla do, he asked.

“Farmers of Fatehpur  are suffering as the FCI has not opened procurement centres there. While the procurement of paddy was started on October 2 in Punjab and Haryana, it is yet to start in Himachal,” he said. Earlier, the farmers of the area used to sell their paddy in the mandis of Punjab, he added.
