The FASTag facility will be available at all entry points of Himachal Pradesh and will be provided first on four major highways. An integrated toll facility will also be established at Tipra in Parwanoo, where essential services like food items, puncture repair etc. will be available.

Commissioner, State Taxes and Excise Department, Dr Yunus said this while addressing mediapersons at Baddi here yesterday. “Permanent check posts will be established at major entry points of the state, which will be integrated with the toll plaza,” he added.

He said that a special campaign had been launched in the state to check the ingress of illegal liquor and three or four teams had been constituted in each district. Mobile teams were being deployed at sensitive places, he added.

Yunus said, “Around 32,000 litres of illegal liquor has been seized in the state till now and more than 200 cases have been registered.”
