The accident occurred when the victims were heading towards Khairian on a motorcycle.

According to preliminary investigation, Sahil lost control over the motorcycle after a stray animal came in front of it, which rammed into a culvert. While Pyare Lal died on the spot, Sahil was referred to Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College and Hospital in Tanda where he succumbed to his injuries during the treatment.

Sahil, who was working in a private company in Dehra, was on his way to work and had taken his father along, intending to drop him off en-route. Tragically, the accident took place shortly after they left home. A police team from the Haripur Police Station reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
