A two days’ annual classification firing practice and training for officers, commandos and PSOs being conducted by the state CID at the Police Firing Range at Ashwani Khud in the suburbs of Shimla began today.

As many as 200 police officers and officials from various units of the CID, including commandos, PSOs of the Chief Minister, Governor, Chief Justice of HP High Court, ministers, Chief Minister’s security officials and other CID personnel participated in the exercise.

The participants practiced with small and long range weapons (MP 5A-3 Sub Machine Gun and pistols) from 50 yards and 30 yards from the target, said ASP (CID), Cyber Crime, Narveer Singh Rathore.
