Yoginder Pal Kapoor, president of the Mandi District INTUC unit, has questioned the hiring practices of the BBMB management and its subsidiary Shivalik Company at Salapad. He stated that the companies were not adhering to the State Government’s recruitment rules that favour hiring of local workers.

Kapoor alleged that despite regulations providing jobs to locals in place, the companies continued to hire workers from outside.

He also criticised the BBMB management for disregarding the court orders. Kapoor urged the government to impose restrictions on companies that failed to comply with the hiring norms.
